Born into a family of inventors and entrepreneurs, Mr. Meek focused his studies on medicine and business law. In the 25 years since, he has built, capitalized and expanded award winning companies in multiple industries. In 2011, Meek returned to his medical industry passion by joining LuminusMicro, where he has spanned all departments, including recruitment and collaboration with top surgeons, providing focused leadership and innovation in the engineering department that delivered key surgeon-valued product features, setting up medical institutes and universities across the U.S. to support product launches, orchestrating the patent firms to establish the global IP portfolio, cultivating a strong national network of executives specializing in sales and surgical training, and sourcing over $10 Million in partnerships and operational capital to advance the Company to this stage.

Paul Maccini

Chief Operations Officer

With over 30 years of experience in the medical industry, Mr. Maccini has excelled in a range of executive leadership roles, collectively establishing the infrastructure and leading sales teams for product launches across 37 countries. Mr. Maccini’s track record extends to both the pharmaceutical and medical device sectors, where he has overseen and expanded revenues above $1 billion for multiple companies. His role will be pivotal in shaping and launching the LuminusMicro portfolio of products and brands by balancing market vision, operational efficiency, compliance, and customer-centricity. Under Mr. Maccini, all LuminusMicro departments can continue to scale operations to meet demand, including production capacity, optimized supply chains, enhanced distribution channels, world-class product education and service.

Mike Shim

Board Treasurer

For 20 years, Mr. Shim served as CEO of the multi-state consumer lending company, Quick Cash Funding, expanding it to 12 locations. His superior management in this highly regulated finance industry was the key to the company’s success. Mr. Shim’s executive, finance and compliance skills equip him to assume a vital management position, while he currently expands the Company’s international relations.

John Krall

National Training Director

Based in Scottsdale Arizona, Mr. Krall is a 30 year leader of sales teams and new product education for major medical corporations including OwensCorning, Baxter, Medtronic, Zimmer Biomet, and Small Bone Innovations. Under his world-class service standards and cutting-edge marketing connections, Mr. Krall will spearhead LuminusMicro’s sales, training and distribution engine.

Anthony Goodesmith

Key Accounts Director

Nearly 40 years in the medical industry, Mr. Goodesmith has run sales and new product launches for major companies such as Eli Lily and Astra Zeneca. Today he operates his own distribution company Standard Medical Systems which spearheads adoption and sales to major hospital systems and medical divisions of government including the Mayo Clinic, the DOD and the VA. Mr. Goodesmith and Standard Medical have awaited the opportunity to leverage their priority-access to such prominent key accounts for LuminusMicro, supported with sales strategies, specialized product packaging insights and relationship management along the way.

Jay Lawson

Product Launch Advisor

A nationally respected medical industry executive, Mr. Lawson has succeeded in elite roles including 12 years as President of Stryker Spine. Since then, he has built a series of medical service, sales and technology companies including SurgiCor, a major medical distributor covering much of the Eastern US. His advisement and advocacy will be increasingly powerful towards hitting sales targets and polishing the subsidiaries for potential acquisition.

Don Smucker

Product Launch Advisor

Mr. Smucker has led surgical education, sales divisions and new product development for over 40 years. His historic roles include serving as VP with Zimmer, and CEO at Universal Medical. He is credited with 23 patents and 7 major product launches in the orthopedics market, including the irrigation pump system still in wide use for arthroscopic surgeries. Mr. Smucker’s most recent focus has been micro-arthroscopes and regenerative therapies, perfectly aligned with the LuminusMicro launch.

Kevin Arai

Mr. Arai has leveraged his biological studies and a Pepperdine MBA to build 20 years of respect in the medical device industry. His vast industry network holds top surgeons, medical executives and collaborative distribution partners whose businesses and personal practices have benefited from his leadership in surgical device training, market development and sales. Under Mr. Arai’s leadership, the presentation, marketing and placement of LuminusMicro products benefit from powerful clarity, user-friendliness and value – the key factors for adoption as we open a new era of micro procedures.

David Walker

Mr. Walker is the 40 year-seasoned entrepreneur who founded the original LuminusMicro R&D company, guiding the technology with significant capital contributions, unwavering focus on the most vital, revolutionary design elements, and recruitment of a world-class engineering and management team. Previous to that, Mr. Walker built companies to success in the finance, advertising, film, and retail industries. Mr. Walker remains dedicated to the advancement of LuminusMicro surgical devices, with his hands-on leadership benefiting all departments, including development of strategic partnerships and licensing opportunities that can activate valuable new applications.
